Definitely a restaurant that cares... and I will forever be loyal as well! I love their hot and sour soup and it always makes me feel better when I'm sick. Can you believe the special get well message and heart that was drawn on my to-go order, and that they served me after they closed just to make this for me? Very, very sweet.

Ordered pickup for Doordash for two soups: wonton noodle soup and sizzling rice soup. I had to make two trips to come back here because they completely left out my wonton order. They simply asked for me to come back and didn't try to make that situation right either.

The one star is for the sizzling soup. That's all. It was hard to mess up on that one.

The wonton noodle soup was made with instant noodles. That was a major fail and the wontons were not tasty at all.

Probably would just order pick up for the sizzling soup because its hard to go wrong with that.

Small hole in the wall Chinese restaurant.  My boyfriend and I came here for Christmas Eve dinner.  We were both craving Chinese and this restaurant was one of the only restaurants open late on Christmas Eve.  We both ordered the dinner combo plate which came with two appetizers, an entree with two sides.  We both came very hungry, so there were no leftovers.   We both ordered the wonton soup and pot stickers as appetizers.  We then tried the orange chicken and the General Tso chicken as the entrees and the chow mien, fried rice, and Chinese chicken salad as the sides.  We loved everything we tried.  The Chinese chicken salad was a little bland, but other than that everything else tasted amazing.  We both love Chinese food so we are very easy to please.

The restaurant is really small.  There is probably only enough tables for a few families, so I can imagine that the restaurant will probably get busy and crowded during the dinner hour.  We most likely will be eating here again when we are in the neighborhood.

Was ok chinese food. From the description it seemed that we found our place but it was a little too greasy and not as flavorful as we would have liked. We are still in search of the New York style and will continue to try new places.

Ok, I think I'm done with this place. I ordered my food for pickup and had the dinner #1, fried calamari and egg foo yung. Everything tasted like it was fried in old oil... still have the smell on the BACK of my hand and all I did was pick it up an egg roll (how does that happen?). The egg foo yung looked and tasted like it was carved off of a log. Very dense and unlike any I have tasted before. The broth of the wonton soup tasted like it was sitting in a dirty pot previously used for the old oil.

I have been a loyal customer of Pearl River for the last 10+ years and I used to love their food, but have noticed that the quality and quantity of thier dishes have declined over the last few years and the prices have gone up. Sorry, won't spend my money on food that I don't enjoy.
